Dear Dad,
I have prayed endlessly for meaning. To live a worthy life you would be proud of. To love the Ghana to which you were so devoted. To overcome the drudgery of the place of my umbilical cord  that rejects genuine patriots and embraces "con acts "with implausible promises that lead to episodic deprivation. 

I Arrived full throttle And Poignant
I did have needed Impact
Rejecting corrupt compacts.

I arrived Ideational
Pregnant with vision
And faced derision
To Not reach a birthing
Just Reflecting this earth
In Ghana's weird deflection
Of engineered stagnation
Of worthy mission

In Ghana,
Purpose lies idling on the roof
And truths have no proof
Prefabricated Variants woo
And replicate a ruse 
Until Ghana is defiled
With lies that rule
And Entrench a hangman's noose
With unseen rules
So that justice befriends crooks
 
I Stand Firm

The space for your chosen Role which was truncated is wide open
Yet closed
Because you did not dance to the tune of Corrupt Servitude
with Platitudes
I too have Great Attitude
And definite Aptitude
Yet Truth befriends prejudice and is held Captive
With perforated holes
Falsehoods Unfold like floods that are active
The terrain is toxic & radioactive

I Stand Unflinching

Fixing a broken Ghana
Require selfless devotion
to nation
Rather than selfish acquisition in motion
Yet The operational notion
Is to gain wealth oceans
While others endure endless suffocation and ruination
The ensuing stealth ramification
Puts development on soiled ice
This is not Karma that is wise
Insufficiency is not from God?
Whose Cathedral has become a national vice
Yet, Tis Ghana's new Akwaaba?
