Can Ghana NOT afford to say how dare you dictate to us? Ghana's independence façade with puppet governance and external control is being sorely exposed with threats that Aid / loans will disappear if the Anti- LGBTQ legislation passed by our hitherto rubber stamping parliament, flexing " saayo Aluta" muscle on a designated cultural values issue, becomes Law.

If the West were to make good their punitive sanction threats, would necessity which is supposedly the mother of invention not catapult a Ghana needlesy in crisis, to find the will to rise from her ashes of debt desperation and resolve corruption inundation and economic mismanagement, so that we could truly shout, Freedom ?

While the dangling answer await, there is a need to take crucial Responsibility for our self - indulgent victimhood, we must overcome the " broni ma me sika" beggar syndrome which haunts and taunts our dignity.

Have we become such choiceless and shameless beggars that the West that butter our childlike "IMF daily bread", can so choke us in deathly hiccups that Without $3bn resuscitation for example, Ghana would cease to exist ? Is it not rather the LGBTQ + onslaught being shoved down our throats that poses an existential challenge?

It seems Ghana needs to be shaken off her complacent developmental inertia with idiotic natural resource agreements which enrich politician bank accounts in kick - backs and pander to foreign interests to impoverish the nation. " wahala dey oh"....

**Perhaps withdrawal of varied incessant Aid from our already stressed and suffering psyches will be the needed intense shock catalyst to activate a national all hands on deck creative catharsis! Whew!**

The salient issue though seems beyond the legal or constitutional merits of LGBTQ criminalization per se, for which we defer to the Supreme Court momentarily and reserve substantive opinion while holding our breath for a Ghana about to eat humble pie?

This is super - Power politics about Sovereignty and whether or Not to say how high, when ordered to jump because you are a decrepit debt - hostage gasping for living breath due inept governance and squandered superior natural resource capacity in order to entrench a poverty syndrome.

This feeds tiresome disrespect on the international stage, while indeed, literally sitting on gold and being hungry as opined by our President because you sold your birthright for pottage by collusive agreements that actually retard progress.

At the heart of the matter is a western purse- strings subordination and muscle flexing, pure bullying by an amoral West claiming superiority as usual. This must be STOPPED, for posterity's sake. But, we have NO outrage to propel us to demonstrative developmental excellence to gain self respect. Our crystallised and pathetic dependency at age " 67 " is our retarded developmental adage to which we must find a cure.

We already know that our President Nana Akufo Addo whose beyond Aid declaration has been an overt joke, does not have the gumption to sign the passed law, OR, his supposed economic recovery theory will also become toast in the annals of an already failed presidency?

Mr. President is conveniently hiding behind the panicked advisory of his beleaguered Finance ministry that aided him to exarcebate our debt woes in the first place. The pretext of waiting on our Supreme court is a mundane excuse riddled with self - interest while Ghana is in a chokehold of inferiority as though there are no exits to true economic freedom. Should we dash him points for belated pragmatism?

"Animals are said to play by sizes" , so that if you are a Middle East economy that does not need western loans or have real oil muscle, you can even have death penalty imposed on LGBTQ lifestyle and you are good to go?

So here we are, 67 years after Independence which we call " fawohodi " ie gone scotch- free ! with enslaved economic apron _ strings. This is primarily due pervasive corruption, failure to develop enabling infrastructure, lip service and slogans to industrialize without commensurate technology transfer, skill development,

abusive power conundrms unaccountable governance and mind boggling incompetence whiplashing us.

Neither China nor Britain Nor USA nor any development partner will rescue us from citizen and leadership morass that we are wallowing in.

As we continue to celebrate our flawed freedom, Our forward to developmental justice has to be a Call to principled restoration; thou shall not steal or rape thy country of its resources and finances but be each his brothers keeper and love thy neighbour as thy self, which does not preclude controversial sin and punishment precepts if you will, have curative governance medicines nonetheless , as we approach christendom Easter in a nation with a majority of "believers" and wholesale religious hypocrisy.
