Social media is undoubtedly the most effective tool that allows users to create and share contents worldwide than the traditional media outlets.
Facebook, twitter, Instagram TikTok typify a few of which offer the platform for people to share their contents to market their artwork, products and a host of other benefits which space will not allow for identification and mention.
However, the frenzy with which today's generation thirst for social media trending and the extent to which they are willing to go in the name of trending is bizarre and demand that something is done about it quickly to shape global morality.
For instance, a post on Facebook shows a man sets fire onto a piece of paper and drops it on a man sleeping in an uncompleted building while some one videos with glee and laughter all in the name of trending.
Many users also resort to very inimical acts just for trending including but not limited to fighting, life threatening pranks, profane words especially about penis and vagina especially by women old enough to qualify as grandmothers and erotic videos in a form of twerking etcetera.
One of such acts which this piece seeks to highlight is the twerking moral decadence on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and their like which has become counterproductive to good moral training, which currently, only few parents are prepared to give their children in the wake of human right and its associated freedoms granted to today's children.
What makes the matter worse is that, these online profanity about concubineship or dating, twerking, showing of breast and other vital parts of ladies are online activities which means everyone, everywhere, at all times, can watch and thus undermining morality not only in their locality but also globally.
Now, it's practically impossible to log onto a social media account be it Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and most importantly TikTok without seeing one egregiously profane or erotic video or the other.
The big question is what happens to the moral upbringing of the children who lack parental guidance when using the social media platforms?
Your guess is as very good as mine!
