Is Ghana heading towards a very wide and deep hole of no return?

Feature Article Is Ghana heading towards a very wide and deep hole of no return?
JUN 2, 2021 LISTEN

It is an undeniable fact that the Ruling NPP Government, has 'plans' to win every general election in Ghana at all cost; and this is why NPP is making it loud and clear on the rooftop that it will, by all means, break the '8-year cycle'.

The most effective 'plan' of the NPP is that it has very influential people at its side, to influence the leader of the largest opposition party, to let sleeping dogs lie, for the sake of peace.

The said influential people are not so much interested in justice, no! They are ever ready to sacrifice justice on the altar of peace. But I am afraid, this kind of attitude, may not assure us of sustainable peace at all times.

The election 'plans' of the NPP, will, by all means, work in 2024, unless the biggest opposition party, the NDC resists them.

If the NDC makes attempts to resist the said plans in 2024, NPP will release its regime security operatives, to 'discipline' those who will make any attempt to frustrate the said plans, just as it was done in Ayawaso West Wagon and during the 2020 general elections.

Indeed, the writings are already on the wall, indicating NDC unwillingness to allow itself to be fooled the third time.

There is every indication that NDC is sending out serious signals and warnings, that it will resist any attempt to play political tricks on them. Hence, the possibility of blood bath cannot be brushed aside.

I think as a Nation, the only thing we can do to avoid blood bath during the 2024 general elections, is to pray to God, to give Ghana, the wisdom and courage to liberate herself from PARTISAN POLITICS ( not Democracy ), and go back to reconsider the Late General Ignatius Kutu Acheampong's Union Government, that I think we were cleverly deceived to reject.

If we all believe that Unity is Strength, why should we allow partisan politics to destroy the needed unity for Ghana's rapid socio-economic development.

Please, let us not behave as if nothing good can come from Africans, except the white race. We should begin to think for ourselves and not to depend on the white race for almost everything.

As a nation, we can adapt the late General Ignatius Kutu Acheampong's Union Government and save Ghana from heading towards a very wide and deep hole of no return.

Let us not forget how the old Ghana collapsed on our forebears. Let us not also forget that Unity is Strength.

Today, knowledgeable Ghanaians are admiring the huge infrastructural development of Dubai. We all wish Ghana is like Dubai.

The question is, is Dubai practising partisan politics? All that Ghana needs now is access to at least, the basic necessities of life, moderate comfort for our well being and redemption, and not partisan politics, that is impeding the rapid socio-economic development of Ghana, and also, being used as a conduit for amassing wealth to the detriment of the masses, who continue to be inflicted with excessive exploitation, abject poverty, slavery and misery.

Therefore, there is no need at all, to allow ourselves to be trapped and enslaved in partisan politics, to the point of destroying our beautiful motherland, Ghana, simply because of partisan politics; that benefits significantly, those who manage to move heaven and earth to win political power to the detriment of the majority poor of Ghana.

May God help us to see and accept that indeed, partisan politics, is the main cause of Ghana's underdevelopment, degradation of our forest and water bodies, the excessive looting of our national purse and the excessive economic hardships that 95% of Ghanaians are experiencing now.

May God also give us the courage and determination, to uproot partisan politics from our body politics, for the good of all Ghanaians.
