Acclaimed Ghanaian singer and songwriter Kofi Kinaata made history on Friday, by releasing his highly anticipated debut EP "KofiooKofi" and setting a new record with the sale of the first signed copy.

Before the release, Kinaata held an exclusive listening party for the EP at Accra City Hotel on Thursday, May 9, bringing together renowned figures from Ghana's music and media industries.

Attendees included veterans like Gyedu Blay Ambolley and Bessa Simons as well as contemporary stars like Okyeame Kwame, DopeNation and Donzy.

At the event, Kinaata gave insights into each of the seven tracks on the 23-minute project.

A pivotal moment came when Richard Quansah, CEO of Richie Plantations, purchased the first signed copy of "KofiooKofi" for a staggering 100,000 Ghanaian Cedis.

The sale capped off a momentous evening for Kinaata, who has long resisted industry pressure to release a full-length project despite his popularity as a hit singles artist.

The song on the project are, ‘Auntie Ama’, ‘Abonsam’, ‘Saman’, ‘Effiakuma Broken’, ‘Heart’, ‘I Don't Care’, ‘Take Away’, and ‘Overthinking’.

With earlier songs like "Susuka", "Things Fall Apart" and "Confession", he has proven himself as one of Ghana's most talented singer-songwriters.
