Ghanian musician Fameye is accused of defrauding the Ghanaian/Ivorian music group Climbie Afrika, according to Takoradi-based sound engineer Body Beatz.

Fameye's song "Long Life" featuring Kwesi Arthur's producer, Body Beatz, claims that Climbie Afrika contacted Fameye for a feature through him.

The group paid the award-winning musician's fee of GHC 3,500. The sound was finished.

To get the song's music video shot, Climbie Afrika allegedly contacted Fameye once more through Body Beatz in May 2021.

He requested GHC 5,000. On GH4,500, both parties concurred.

The musical group made the pre-agreed payment. However, Fameye has yet to appear for the video shoot despite having almost a year and a half to do so.

In an interview with Takoradi's Connect FM's Ato Kwamina Otoo D'Gem, Body Beatz revealed that Fameye has repeatedly missed scheduled appearances for the shoot, despite his agreement to do so.

He continued by saying that in October 2021, he would have to exert all of his efforts to stop Climbie Afrika from carrying out plans to have Fameye arrested when he arrived in Takoradi to perform at the Guinness Bright House Experience concert.

The current Music Producer of the Year from the Western Music Awards 2022 added that Climbie Afrika ultimately led to his arrest because they thought he might not have paid Fameye the money, which would have resulted in the undue delay.

The duo are no longer interested in shooting, the frustrated music producer continued.
