We take GHC3,000 per a post for money-minded songs — Tiktok star Asantewaa and manager discloses

One of the most-followed Tiktok stars, Martina Dwamena, known publicly as Asantewaa and her manager, Cassious, have revealed they take huge sums of money before posting a song once.

It's no surprise that Asantewaa boasted about Tiktok stars being the country's most powerful music promoters.

Speaking on Accra-based Okay FM, Asantewaa's manager stated that such songs are charged GHC3,000 for a single post.

Cassious added that songs with no monetizable content are charged the same price for a single post.

However, Asantewaa claims that most of the posts are actually free and that no money is taken from them.

“It depends on the songs, it's normally the contents that determine how much we will charge. For Songs that talk about, we charge 3,000 cedis for a post. The other ones that do not speak about money but words of encouragement we also charge the same amount.

“For Some of the posts, we take any amount,” Asantewa said as her response to the lowest amount they have charged so far, he said in a local dialect Twi.

Meanwhile, Asantewaa's remark about TikTok influencers being the most powerful promoters who can make songs trend and without them, an artiste's songs are useless was flatly refuted by the majority of social media users, prompting her to retract and apologise.
