enjamin, 24 - Benjamin Akill might appear very playful and non-serious about many things but he says that is how he achieves the goals he sets for himself.
Although the young man hopes to be a musician in future, he is currently more academic-minded. Among his siblings, Akill is the first to benefit from university education.
His sister Salimi, who was a former contestant of Stars of the Future and Miss Malaika last year, is yet to further her education at a university while his elder brother, Alfred holds a diploma in Information Technology and Construction.
After his secondary education at Achimota School, he took a diploma course in Computer Hardware at Angus Information Systems in 2001.
He is presently a graduate from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology where he did Textile Science. He also works with his elder brother who is a manager of a construction firm in Kumasi.
Born to a Lebanese father, Neif Akill and an Akwapem mother, Vida, Benjamin performed at the age of 13 at the National Theatre during KIDDAFEST and recorded some songs with a popular hiplife sound engineer called Agyengo.
At KNUST, he joined the Light House Chapel choir and was also part of a group called Jazz Central together with fellow Stars of the Future contestant Sandra.
