Actress and television host Nana Ama McBrown has come under fire from social media users and a vocal media personality following her controversial comment suggesting that no one over the age of 40 should ever beg for money.
During a recent episode of her show, McBrown aimed to advise her viewers, as she often does.
In this instance, she emphasized the importance of financial independence at the age of 40.
"By the time you are 40, you should have established yourself enough never to need to ask someone else for money," McBrown stated.
However, her remarks sparked backlash from the public, with many criticizing her for being out of touch with the economic realities faced by many Ghanaians.
The strongest rebuke came from a radio pundit who vehemently opposed her comments.
The pundit lambasted McBrown for her perceived insensitivity, arguing that her statements disregarded the struggles of people who face financial difficulties due to various circumstances beyond their control.
"Not everyone has the same opportunities or financial stability by the age of 40. It's unfair and unrealistic to make such blanket statements," the pundit remarked.
