“I’m in Love With Boma Ye” - Lovely lacks Chemistry

30.05.2012 LISTEN
By Adaa Boy

It is official people; Lovely doesn't know how to build rapport with a guy like Boma Ye. Relationships thrive on communication and it is not just about talking to someone. There is such a thing as chemistry and Lovely just doesn't bring it with her. It gets worse when she decides to blame it on her target instead of looking within herself where the problem really lies.

She is obviously desperate for attention. Even her attempt at seduction turns out lame. She talks when Boma Ye is talking, obviously thinking she is showing some spirit and fighting for her place. Believe me, if Boma Ye was to do the nomination all over again, Lovely will be on that list. The two are light years apart but, of course, she is going to keep trying. The more she tries the more annoying she will get. Boma Ye must have seen it all before: the wrong woman who doesn't seem to understand that she is in the wrong place. The eviction nomination list is the best it can be with Lovely on it.

Her weakness was magnified when Promzy literally walked in during her time with Boma Ye and stole the show in a nipple-flattering nightie as she sat on Boma Ye's lap. Promzy got a knee rub, a few kisses and a promise for another kiss before she went to sleep while Lovely just sat there looking frustrated.

In my book Boma Ye is the perfect gentleman: most guys I know will make Lovely feel like running away from the house before she even got evicted. Everyone has something to offer but the problem is most people don't know what it is they have and as such cannot figure out how to offer it. It makes it difficult to find one's place in a group and Lovely is exhibiting all the symptoms.

Fashion Tuesday gave all the ladies a chance to bring out the fashion talents in them - a good chance to impress Boma Ye as he has a keen interest in fashion and hopes to own his own label in the future. Lovely couldn't shine there either and from what I am picking up she is not a star in the kitchen either. Red flag!

Favour also seemed to have fallen further out of favour when she justified her inclusion on the eviction list when she came complaining about what others were saying about her. She clearly lacks the “emotional fortitude” to handle the competition as she finally burst into tears before she could explain herself. Only the King's hugs and kisses could calm her down and when she got hold of him, she didn't want to let go - not that I didn't expect that.

Boma Ye is the kind of guy you fight for; not the type that comes to you on a silver platter. Even when you win him, you will have to keep looking over your shoulders all the time. Having 11 known competitors just means you have to be tough or like Boma Ye puts it, “You have to develop a thick skin.” But seriously speaking, how can one be a Ghanaian woman living in the same house with 11 other women all seeking to win the heart of one man and not expect rough tactics and gossips? Get real!

This afternoon, though, I thought I caught Boma Ye staring at Becky's bum for way too long when she walked past him. That's when the tiny voice in my head said, “Maybe he regrets putting her on the list” - the girl's got some assets, I can tell you that. Focus dude - You did the right thing!

The secret confession to Promzy about his favorites including Chichi, Jane and Promzy herself put everything to rest unless he was doing it to prevent another tear session. With that said, I think I know where he is heading but I won't rush into sharing - you need to get your own MultiTv digibox. In the meantime, Promzy is in seduction mode as she rubs almost everything she's got all over Boma Ye in that nightie made from “lustland” that exaggerates her nipples into twin RPGs. Frankly, I do not know how Boma Ye is managing this - I couldn't.
