Adablanu's son wins Tema's medal golf

Tema, Aug. 14, GNA - Bright Adablanu, 22, son of the Chief Executive Officer of the Tema Country Golf Club made his father proud when he returned 72 net to win the club's August Medal competition played at Tema on Saturday.

E.P. Mensah came second with 74 net while William Yeboah took the third position with 74 net beating Kofi Gyau on countback. Esi Cobbina, former lady Captain of the Tema club won the Ladies event with 72 net, while Mary Morgan came second with 74 net beating Valentine Manteaw on count back.

About 100 golfers from Achimota, Tema and Celebrity Golf Clubs took part in the one-day 18-hole stableford competition, which was sponsored by Tema Country club.

Mr Kofi Gyau, Captain of the Tema Country Golf Club, was assisted by Mr Ebenezer Adablanu, Chief Executive Officer of the club to present prizes to the winners.

The competition was a prelude to the Tema Mobitel Open scheduled for Tema from Friday, August 26 to Sunday, August 28.
