By Edward Gyasi,
Accra, March. 24, GNA - Mr. Alexander Tindani, the head coach of Ghana Navy Basketball team, has called on all Ghanaians, especially the corporate world to help develop the sport in Ghana.

In an interview with the GNA Sports, Coach Tindani said, the Greater Accra Basketball League is gradually gaining grounds as there have been some massive improvements in the competition, this season as compared, to the previous one.

'The Accra Basketball League is getting better each and every day. The competition is becoming tougher as compared to the last season.

'Previously we played just one round, but this season we are going to play two rounds, so if you defeat a team in the first round, they would have the chance to make amends in the second round. This is what will make the league competitive and exciting and attract more patrons.

'I would want to urge all Ghanaians to put their hands on deck and help promote the Accra Basketball League. It's very obvious that the league is getting better, the organizations, the patronage and the competitiveness and for that matter Corporate organizations must come on board to support the game we all love.' He said.

Mr. Tindani was optimistic his side will triumph as they lock horns with the Fire Service Basketball team on match day 3 of the ABL at the Lebanon house, Tudu, 5pm tonight.

'I am very optimistic for tonight's game, nobody would go to the war front thinking of a defeat, I am very confident that we are going to win against the Fire service. It is definitely going to be a tough one but we will overcome them. We have played them before and it's not going to be something new for us. GNA
