Ghana’s top seed in Table Tennis who is now studying at the University of Cape Coast made his school mates and coaches proud when he claimed the gold in his best disciplined at home.

Playing before his school colleagues and fans of the game at the UCC sports hall, he displayed real antics and skills in Ping Pong to prove that he is the best and number one in Ghana.

At the group stage, which was an all play all encounter, he thrashed Raymond Donkor of UCC, Fred Twumasi of UCC and Charles Marfo of University of Development Studies (UDS) to qualify from his group.

At the quarter finals which is on knockout basis, he disposed of Isaac Amoako of UCC 3-1 to make it to the best four, where he played and beat Seth Buckman of University of Education Winneba (UDW), then faced William Asare of UCC at the grand hot final where he displayed to the admiration of the fans and organisers that he needs to be taken out of Ghana to face the best of the world in Table Tennis.

He was decorated with the gold medal for winning the Table Tennis at the seventh Ghana university games held in Cape Coast.

The event was hosted by University of Cape Coast and that made Abrefa so elated, aside using the tournament to warm himself for future programmes.
