VODAFONE GHANA HIT THE STREETS OF ACCRA WITH 'HAPPYFEET'

The usual hustle and bustle on the market streets of Chorkor, Jamestown, Osu and Makola was transformed as Vodafone staff stormed the area to interact with customers to learn about their communication habits and needs. In an effort to allow staff to live the Vodafone value of customer obsession, office based staff across all departments left the office to find out more about the customers they serve every day.

Participating in the walk was CEO for Vodafone Ghana, Kyle Whitehill who was joined by Nick Read, CEO for Vodafone's Africa, West Asia and the Asia-Pacific region and members of the Vodafone Ghana senior management team. They moved to Makola to speak to customers and users of communication services to get a better understanding of their needs and how Vodafone can serve them better as customers. The walk also gave Vodafone staff a better understanding of the products and services offered to customers and the important role they play in making the brand a success. Over the 6 week period, customers in Accra will also have the opportunity to receive expert solutions and answers to their queries while staff receive feedback on product and services.

Speaking on this initiative, Carmen Bruce- Annan, Head of Corporate Communications at Vodafone Ghana stated that “we encourage all employees to live the Vodafone values wherever possible; and this gives us a fantastic opportunity to live the value of 'customer obsession' and get close to our customers to really understand their needs. It's very easy to lose sight of our customer's needs when you're based in an office so this is a valuable exercise to get feedback to deliver the best product and services to them.'

Vodafone's Happy Feet will single out communities in Accra to understand customer needs and how they utilize Vodafone products and services.
