The 1993/95 Year Group of St. Louis Senior-High School Past Students Association (SLOPSA) is constructing a 20-seater toilet facility for the School to improve the sanitary conditions.

The project, which is expected to be completed by the end of June this year, is being financed through voluntary contributions and fundraising activities.

Mrs Gloria Akyempim Ansong, President of the Association, disclosed this at the launch of the project in Accra on Sunday, on the theme 'Getting a Seat at the Table: A Woman's Viewpoint.'

Mrs Ansong said the Association had also instituted an award scheme for the teachers to motivate them to give of their best.

She said the provision of the facility was the contribution of the Association to give back to their alma mater.

Mrs Juliana Konadu, President of the Accra Chapter of the Association, said the Accra Chapter was constructing a 600-bed dormitory project to enhance effective teaching and learning.

She said the project, when completed, would help ease the accommodation problems students faced.

Mrs Konadu appealed to the teachers to refrain from all forms of negative tendencies that may tarnish the image of the teaching profession.
