The Matriculation and Maiden Graduation Ceremony of Winneba College of Community Health Nursing has ended colourfully on Saturday December 2, 2017.

Speaking at the occasion, Mrs. Minnie Atwamaah Okai, the Principal of the College, counselled the precious matriculants (freshmen and women) to consider the keen competition involved in gaining admission into the school and desist from laziness, disrespect, neglect of duties, poor time management as well as unethical practices and any conducts which will countenance the Ministry of Health to suspend or sack them from the school.

She urged them to channel their energies to full commitment to guide them achieve their purpose.

She again exhorted that, as graduands, they owe a lot of gratitude to their Maker for the great honour offered them and they should remain committed to him.

She also used the occasion to advise them to be careful in their Community Health Nursing as their activities demand a lot of professionalism in dealing tactfully with today's healthcare delivery, promotion and education.

Mrs. Okai called on them to exhibit stronger will to develop professional values such as the tendency for punctuality, good interpersonal skills, patience, having the sense of pride for the career, striving professionalism and be abreast to many new trends in community healthcare.

Mrs. Atwumaah Okai mentioned that, the college is grappled with inadequate hostel facilities for both male and female trainees, buses to convey students out for home visits, lack of tutors especially specialised Tutors to help build on their facilities, lack of computers to aid teaching and learning of ICT in the school, therefore called on government, individuals, well-wishers, and philanthropists to support them in any way they can overcome these challenges.

The Graduands together also pledged to be committed professionals and be allegiance to their clients to help develop mother Ghana.
