Guaranty Trust Bank Ghana (GTBank) and FirstBanc Financial Services have entered into a major partnership to provide a large number of outlets to enable clients of both banks transact business in a convenient manner.

The Managing Director of GTBank, Lekan Sanusi, disclosed this at the launch of the partnership between the two banks at the Osu Branch on Monday.

The MD indicated that under the partnership, clients of both banks can conveniently purchase, top up or redeem their investments (Heritage Fund and First Fund) in any of the partnering bank branches (GT Bank and FirstBanc) throughout the country.

“We are very excited about this partnership with First Bank, holder the Investment Bank of the year 2015 award, as it means many other people will now have a feel of the ease and convenience that GT Bank can provide for their financial services,” he noted.

He further stated that GT Bank, which also won the Best Digital Banking-Ghana 2017 Award, would make available to clients of both banks its digital platform to purchase or top-up their investments through physical or online collection channels.

In practical terms, GT Bank has listed FirstBanc on its digital platform dubbed, “myghpay” to take care of all online payments and collections so that both low and high income earners would do business very conveniently, and even in the comfort of their homes.

The Managing Director of FirstBanc Financial Services Amenyo Setordzie, stated that his outfit intends to use this platform and technology in general to generate wealth for both formal and informal sector workers through its planned strategy to mobilize untapped huge funds for safe and high yielding financial instruments .

He stated that FirstBanc has an enviable track-record in the areas of Asset Management, Brokerage, Corporate and Finance Advisory and Pension Management services since 2009.
