Celebrating My Hero: Sir Article Is A Rare Breed, And Swagg Jay Is His Backbone
24.01.2017 LISTEN

Am I really a rare breed? Well, it stands out a mile. However, this article seeks not to prove, defend and promote it, but rather to trumpet the person who acts as the backbone of my personality as a rare breed. Folks, especially my readers, know quite a lot about me, yet they know not the person who is the mainstay of everything I do. My kind of life is a rare one — my way of thinking, character traits, works etc. all validate that. Besides, if I were a vehicle, my engine would be Swagg Jay. In fact, I believe he has supported me in my career more than the combination of supports all other people have given me. And among all the young people I know in person, Swagg Jay is the rarest. My words may seem like a hyperbole, but they are sincere convictions from the very depths of my soul.

Today, everyone would truly know Swagg Jay, my cousin, co-hustler, road manager, business partner, bestfriend, confidant etc. Swagg Jay was born Joseph Ernest Buah in 1996. I am Allan K. Buah, and that makes him my paternal cousin, and we both live in Sekondi-Takoradi. We have known each other as family relatives for about a decade. We sometimes do a variety of things together as beloved brothers, namely eating, sleeping, stroll, debates, brainstorming, hustling, visits, and a few others. Junior, as he is affectionately called, is a proud alumnus of Mfanstsipim School in Cape Coast, having completed in 2014. And he is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts programme in KNUST.

Moreover, the brand Sir Article is gaining momentum — big thanks to Swagg Jay. He is generally responsible for my brand image as a writing entrepreneur. Gosh, he does it selflessly! He is even the most selfless person I know on earth now. He selflessly supports me to the point where some of his friends think it is ridiculous. Sometime ago, Junior convinced the host of a popular entertainment show on a Takoradi-based radio station to put me on as a temporary panelist. He could have capitalised on that great opportunity, but he insisted that I badly needed it to build my reputation and not him. Again, a few of his friends usually wonder why he wholeheartedly backs his cousin's writing business without starting and building his own business.

Also, Albert Einstein is famed for saying that "everybody is a genius..." Swagg Jay, therefore, is a genius, and I think he is a genius at nurturing. He has incredibly nurtured my personal brand as a creative writer. He is also a serious thinker, and a connoisseur of business success, wealth creation, world politics, football, and a few others. Ernest might be as freakish in his mindset as I am since we both possess a similar thinking pattern. Though he is yet to become a fully-fledged businessman, his entrepreneurial dynamism is uncommon. He actually aspires to be a diversified business mogul with a billion dollar conglomerate on a global scale. Oh I almost forget that he is learning and practising beatmaking, because he feels that is a stepping-stone to his envisioned music empire?
