Broadband Home Limited (BBH), Ghana's first broadband wireless provider, recently demonstrated the Ziptv app during the launch of Samsung s7 in Accra.
The application, pre-installed on the smartphone, is one of the most exciting offers in the entertainment industry this year.
BBH, trading under the brands Zipnet, Ziptv, and Ziptel, was proud to demonstrate the app on the Samsung s7 phone during the launch in order to showcase the kind of bouquets that consumers should expect.
The move is aimed at making television viewing in Ghana very convenient and refreshing.
The collaboration would see the app pre-installed on other Samsung smartphones like the Samsung A5 and smart TVs.
Ahmed Wahab, General Manager, Ziptv Commercial, said customers who purchase the Samsung s7 phones are assured of special Ziptv packages.
He said the app would soon be available in google play store.
Mr. Wahab indicated that the Ziptv service would be available to the public on mobile devices first, and then available on Set Top Boxes (STBs) later in Q3, 2016.
Consumers who buy the Samsung s7 would have complimentary preview of Ziptv's carefully selected top television channels both international and local.

They would also have access to more than 1,000 Video-on-Demand (VoD) box office movies, series, music and other content from more than 24 Hollywood studios for a limited time.
The Ziptv VOD packages are equivalent to Netflix and HBO services worldwide and more.
Ziptv has extended its service to some of the best Ghanaian and African production firms.
“Our goal is to give them a modern platform to showcase their talent,” said Mr Wahab.
According to him, Ziptv is partnering with the best and most watched linear television channels in America, Canada, Europe and elsewhere, including some local Ghanaian TV channels.
General Manager, Marketing, Regina Ntim-Addae, also added that Ziptv would revolutionize TV viewing experience of Ghanaians as compared to existing satellite or terrestrial Pay-TV services.
Ziptv multi-screen feature would enable friends and families to watch different programmes simultaneously on one Ziptv account.
In addition, consumers could access content on-the-go on the Ziptv android app on mobile devices.
Ziptv content would vary from sports, news, soaps, movies, series, documentary, religious and kids content.
