Some women who were returning from Prayer night service in Kumasi have met their untimely death on their way to Obuasi and Capecoast after their bus got involved in fatal accident at Adansi Fomena.
Ghanastreets investigation indicates that,three people were officially confirmed dead at the spot and several others seriously injured in the accident and are on admission at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital- Kumasi.
Three vehicles were involved in the accident – Articulator truck with the registration number GX 483 – 14, a Sprinter bus with the registration number AS 6225- 14 and a Kia truck with the registration number GR 1673 – C .
In an interview with Ghanastreets.com one of the victims said , the articulator truck loaded with cocoa beans burst tyre in the process ran into the Sprinter bus with 23 passengers on board.
Upon escaping from the burst articulator truck , the Sprinter collided with the Kia truck coming from Cape Coast which was loaded with Oranges bringing the death toll to 6.
The bus was on its way from Abrankese in the Bosomtwe District- MOGPA to Obuasi Cape Coast road.
The mangled vehicles have been towed and the road cleared to enhance vehicle movement.
