Health experts, bankers, politicians, others are set to grace the occasion for the official launch of Cerebral Palsy NGO
Prominent politicians, health experts, justices, serving and retired military officers as well as movers and shakers of industry, finance, the public service and the legislature will converge on Lagos for the unveiling of Benola, a cerebral palsy initiative.
A statement signed by one of the founders, Air Vice Marshal Femi Gbadebo (Rtd) said the event will take place on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at the Sun Room, Four Points by Sheraton, Oniru Chieftaincy Estate, Lekki, Lagos beginning from 9:30 am.
The statement said the founders were motivated to establish Benola because of the need to push for appropriate legislation that will ultimately eliminate the state of neglect of these individuals.
The statement said “Benola, a non-Profit Organization committed to change and progress for persons living with Cerebral Palsy, is striving for their inclusion in the society as well as ensuring that they and those who care for them live the best possible life under the peculiar circumstances they find themselves.
Continuing, the statement said “The Initiative is a means to keeping professional families, friends, health care professionals, care givers and educators abreast of current trends and options available for better management of Cerebral palsy”
The statement also announced Benola's newly formed Advisory Board.
“The advisory board comprises ten members: Dr. Abdulrahaman Olatunji Funsho FRCP (London) – Consultant Cardiologist & Principal Partner, Funsho and Associates, Mr. Nebolisa Arah – Retired banker & Financial Consultant, Mr. Bashar Dankaro – Executive Director at Imperial Asset Managers Ltd , Air Chief Marshal Paul Dike CFR – Former Chief of Defence Staff & Chairman/CEO at KEMSAD Ventures, Dr. Ije Jidenma – Director/CEO Leading Edge Consulting & Founder/ Executive Secretary at Goddy Jidenma Foundation, Mr. Ayo Joseph - CEO Sarkti Construction Company Ltd, Mr. Dayo Lawuyi MON - CEO Angus Newman Associates Limited, Mr. Ola Oyelola – President /CEO Bright House Group, Mr. Adeniji Raji – Chairman Raden Investments Limited, MD BTN (Nig) Ltd & Principal Partner RAAD System Engineers and Anne Rinu – Properties Manager, Stanbic/IBTC Bank Plc” the statement added.”
