Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Limited has commissioned an ultra-modern training school facility for its staff.
Commissioning it, the Managing Director, Mr. Dolapo Ogundimu, said “Ghana is fast developing and for businesses to match up to international standards and expectations,
it is imperative that we invest heavily in the development of our human capital”.
He said the training school is an attestation to the bank's commitment to provide professional training to all employees of the company.
“The bank recognises training as an integral tool to build up the necessary competencies and technical skills required of our staff,” he added.
Mr. Ogundimu said the bank is investing heavily in the area of training to support its branch expansion programme, develop and enhance competences in various areas of banking, and also to maintain consistency and familiarity with work flows.
“The facility which is equipped with advanced audio-visual and other training aids, is seen also as a good corporate social responsibility initiative because of the immediate and future benefits and opportunities provided to benefactors, their families and the communities they reside in,” he said.
The bank presently has 13 branches in Ghana and plans to open more by the end of this year.
