Kumasi, April 29, GNA - The Grace Baptist Church at Amakom in Kumasi has launched an educational and skill training fund to support needy members in skill training.
A scholarship scheme to support brilliant but needy members through their education to an appreciable level is also another component of the fund.
Rev. Robert Asante, Associate Pastor of the Church who spoke at the launch, said it was the responsibility of the church to empower its members economically by making sure that every member of the church was gainfully employed.
It said this is the only means through which the idle youth in the church would not be lured to indulge in socially deviant behaviour.
He appealed to well–to–do members of the church to contribute generously to the fund.
