The Kwahu West Municipal and the Kwahu South District Assemblies with support of Zoomlion, a waste management company, and the Environmental Health offices on Monday undertook clean-up exercises in their areas.
They swept the streets, markets, lorry parks and de-silted gutters at Nkawkaw, Mpraeso, Bepong, Asakraka, Atibie and other communities.
Zoomlion and the environmental health office provided Wellington boots, wheel barrows and shovels.
The Kwahu West Municipal Environmental Officer, Mr Mohammed Sulley, said the assembly had been organizing such clean-up exercises every 40 days at Nkawkaw and some of the communities to ensure a clean environment.
The Eastern Regional Technical Supervisor of Zoomlion, Mr Christian Tamakloe, advised the company’s staff to educate people to go for Zoomlion litter boxes.
