St Mirren join Premier League

St. Mirren gained promotion to the elite on the final day of the division one zone 3 play-off on Sunday in a neck and neck race .

The Tema-based side, tied on points with close challengers, Power FC, beat Fair Point FC 2-1 at the Robert Mensah Stadium in Cape-Coast.

St Mirren, owned by GFA Executive Committee member, Fred Crentsil, recovered from an opening 1-1 draw with Power FC.

Although former premiership side, Power FC, recorded a 3-1 win over Royal Knights at the Sekondi Gyandu Park, they miss out by inferior goal difference.
