Christian leaders support HIV/AIDS treatment

African Leadership, a centre for training pastors and church leaders has presented a cheque for GH¢1,500 to the Sunyani Regional Hospital. The money is to be used to support AIDS patients who cannot afford anti-retroviral treatment.

The Director of the Centre, Rev. Sam Oppong who presented the cheque to the medical director of the hospital, Dr. David Asare said the cheque is for the last quarter of the year.

The medical Director thanked the centre for the gesture.
Dr. Asare called on the National Health Insurance Council and government to include HIV/AIDS treatment in the National Health Insurance Scheme to enable more people with the disease to have access to treatment.
