Ghana Is Failing Arise And Let's Rescue Mother Ghana

Ghanaians are some strange homo sapiens whose behavior have been diagnosed as people with short memory, and it appears a perfect description of what Ghanaians are. The political elites have taken an advantage of it to trample on their liberties with impunity.

If anyone had attempted to predict or prophesize that mother Ghana would be in this state of lawlessness after the painful experiences of 1979 and 1981 revolts. That prophet or person would be seen as someone who is hallucinating or going mad.

The conducts of some officers of the Judiciary attest to the fact that most Ghanaians really have short memory, and it's amazing we could easily forget what happened to those judges and the military major who were abducted and assassinated by the lunatic elements within the military junta, and some Generals of the Supreme Military Council were also executed during the June 4th uprising and we all feign as if that dark spot in our history never happened.

The 1992 constitution classified some class of people as article 71 office holders, and nowhere in that article which states those office holders must be pampered and the other class of the citizenry must be subjected to dehumanizing class. The political elites deliberately skewed the provision in that article for their selfish personal interest.

It's highly unconscionable to expend thousand of Ghana cedis daily on each article 71 office holders and subject the low income earners to a paltry wages and shamelessly describe it as the daily minimum wage. How could the ruling elites be that wicked, greedy, selfish and inconsiderate, surprisingly upon all the privileges and investment at their beck and call, these corrupt greedy cohorts indulge in procurement bleaches, inflates contract sums and also demand kickback from potential investors.

The legislature is the first organ of state that is dissolve whenever the military takes over power in a coup d'etat. The legislators are the worse victims whenever there's a successful coup d'etat reason been that the legislature is the most powerful organ of state.

The legislature is the only organ of state where the powers of the president is limited. They select their Speaker and the Deputy Speakers and have the powers to remove errant presidents through an impeachment processes.

Based on the influences of the legislators as the representative of the electorates can easily mobilize their constituents against any tyrannical leader, that is the main reason the putschist immediately dissolve Parliament whenever a government is overthrown and have Members of Parliament thrown into prison custody until such time the putschist have the full grips over the country before they're released in piecemeal.

The legislators have all the powers to transform Parliament into an independent prosperous institution only when they decide to be relevant and assertive in the performance of their functions as prescribed in the constitution, only that would compel the Executive organ to take them seriously and treat them as the true representatives of the people.

The current constitution must be amended and the animal called article 71 office holders and the provision of appointing majority ministers from Parliament be expunged from the constitution. This would demotivate some of the young men and women wanting of be Ministers, and thinking the shortcut to achieve that ambitions is to be a Member of Parliament. Only those who wanted to make career in Parliament would attempt to invest in that venture.

The Juduciary that's supposed to be the independent umpire unfortunately have disappointed the entire citizenry, and the only remedy to liberate them from the claws of the marauding executive control is dependent on the amendment of the current constitution.

It's unconscionable to waste scarce resources on the upkeep of party loyalist irrespective of their qualification, experience, skills or competence are appointed as article 71 office holders, and the consequences are the total collapse of the economy.

Chiefs the custodian of the land stop being sycophantic to the ruling elites, these are politicians that run to your palaces to canvass for votes or at times beg you the Chiefs to support them. Why allow these cunning predators to divide your ranks and exploit your resources with impunity and turn round to compromise some of you Chiefs with pittance and manipulate the chiefdom with disdain

Let's unite against these nation wreckers and ensure we vote for selfless individuals and dump those politicians who thinks we are chattels for sale.
