The Executive Director and Founder of a local based Foundation in the Asante Akyem Central Municipality Nana Agyemang Amponsah has on Saturday, May 2, 2020 donated some Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other medical supplies to the Asante Akyem Central Municipal Health Directorate as part of efforts to contain the continuous spread of the deadly Corona Virus disease.

The items which included: 100 Personal Protective Equipments (PPE), 100 Nose Mask, 10 gallons of Liquid Soap detergents, 10 Veronica Buckets and bowls, 100 pairs of Hand gloves and other medical supplies.

Speaking to the media after the presentation, Nana Agyemang Amponsah who's a native of Konongo in the Asante Akyem Central Municipality reiterated the urgent need to create more awareness of the COVID-19 and educate everyone to be very cautious and adhere to all the precautionary protocols outlined by the Ministry of Health and all relevant health agencies in the fight against the Corona Virus which includes observing social distancing, wearing protective Nose Mask, staying home, proper handwashing with soap under running water and regular use of alcohol-based hand sanitizers.

The Foundation has over the years made a significant contribution to the growth and development of the people in the Municipality including Distribution of over 10,000 Free Text Books to all Public Schools in the Municipality, Organizing a Free Cervical and Breast Cancer screening, donation of Medical Supplies to the Dwease Health Center among other social interventions.

On his part the Municipal Health Director of the Asante Akyem Central Municipality, Mr Martin Osei Sarfo thanked Nana Agyemang Amponsah and all members of his Foundation for the kind gesture of coming to their aid in such critical moment.

He used the occasion to encourage other individuals and organizations to come to their aid as they all join the fight against the deadly pandemic.

Present at the event were Mr. Francis Bright Appiadu, a Former Constituency Chairman of the NPP in Asante Akyem Central, Mrs. Comfort Nimoh, Administrator of Pinamang Educational Complex, Mrs. Judith Amponsah, Wife of Nana Agyemang Amponsah and staff Nurse at the Cape Coast Government Hospital and other members of the Foundation.
