Shirley Frimpong-Manso's “Perfect Picture”, currently making waves in the theatres in Ghana is set to storm Nigerian theatres in May.
Silverbird Ghana and Global Media Alliance in collaboration with Silverbird Nigeria will premiere the much talked-about movie which is still a hot cake in Silverbird Cinemas at the Accra Mall, in Lagos and Port Harcourt. The premiere of “the Perfect Picture” coincides with the celebration of five years of Silverbird Cinemas in Nigeria. The event is set to bring together top-notch business executives, political heavyweights, legend African movie makers and movie lovers across the continent.
“This is certainly a huge platform to market the burgeoning Ghanaian movie industry. Young and enthusiastic men and women like Shirley need to be given all the support and exposure they need” said Mr. Edward Boateng, CEO of Global media Alliance (GMA).
The Perfect Picture”, is to be premiered on Thursday, May 14, 2009 in Silverbird cinemas concurrently in Lagos and Port Harcourt. The premiere promises to be of world-class standards with all the pomp and ceremonies that come with staging such awesome first-rate events.
According to Mr. Albert Mensah, General Manager of Silverbird Theatres, over 1,500 people travelled from across Ghana to watch the movie over the Easter holiday period.
“This shows that there is a locked up demand for good and quality produced Ghanaian and African movies, which Silverbird and GMA intend to unlock with the help of quality producers like Shirley Frimpong-Manso”. Mr. Albert Mensah announced. The Cinema will continue to show the movie until the middle of May 2009 due to the overwhelming popular demand.
Shirley's “the Perfect Picture” which has been rated very high by many movie reviewers is to be shown all across Africa, beginning with Nigeria, followed by Kenya.
