The renowned all-female gospel music group, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, has revealed that they have never submitted entries for the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), emphasizing that winning awards is not their primary goal as gospel ministers.

Instead, they are committed to preaching God’s word through music to positively impact and transform people’s lives.

In an interview on Joy Prime, the group expressed their disinterest in pursuing VGMA nominations, stating that their calling as gospel musicians is unique and focuses on winning souls for Christ.

“We’re not interested in picking forms for the VGMA because we are more focused on winning souls than the awards. Our calling is a unique one, and we don’t want to be distracted or deviate,” they asserted.

The Daughters of Glorious Jesus clarified that they have never purchased forms to participate in the VGMA, but if nominated, they would attend the event.

They emphasized their commitment to their ministry, indicating that their ultimate goal is to positively impact lives through their gospel music.

The trio shared that they have received awards from various international platforms without actively submitting nominations, stating, “If you want to do it for us, just go ahead and pick it; we’re ok.”

Highlighting the impact of their music on individuals, they recounted a powerful testimony related to their song “Nea Yehu Yi.”

The group shared the story of a man who was declared dead by doctors due to an unidentified ailment.

The man, upon hearing their song, got healed and sought out the group to share his testimony.

“He said he’s been looking for us for 2 years, and he didn’t know where to find us. According to him, he was sick at Korle Bu, and the doctors declared him dead.

“He went home because they didn’t see the type of sickness he was suffering from. When he got home, he put his radio on a particular station, and they were playing one of our songs, ‘Nea Yehu Yi,’” Cynthia, the lead singer, narrated.

Inspired by such transformative testimonies, the Daughters of Glorious Jesus expressed their dedication to continue their ministry and to glorify the Lord through their music.

The group also shared their commitment to nurturing and training individuals in the gospel ministry.
