Nicki Minaj joins star-studded lineup for Afro Nation Portugal 2024

Nicki Minaj is now part of the lineup for Afro Nation Portugal this year. The festival, happening from June 26–28 on Praia Da Rocha Beach, Portimao, features Afro-pop artists like Rema, Asake, J Hus, Tyla, and more.

Recently, on January 22, the addition of Minaj to the star-studded roster was announced, joining The Voice France winner Lisandro Cuxi, as well as Francophone stars Dadju and Tayc. The Piano People stage will showcase an eclectic mix of amapiano by MFR Souls, Tango Supreme, Tman Express, and Ch’cco.

Last night, Minaj shared behind-the-scenes videos and photos, including the festival flyer confirming her performance.

Afro Nation Portugal stands as the world’s largest celebration of African music and culture. Having successful editions in 2019, 2022, and 2023, the festival played a role in elevating global stars like Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Davido to headline status on major mainstream festival line-ups worldwide.

Afro Nation’s influence expands not only in Europe but also in America, the Caribbean, and Africa, with more expansions on the horizon.

It unites the diaspora globally in celebrating dance, food, fashion, music, and enjoyment. Last year, the festival achieved a sell-out in Portugal, drawing over 40,000 attendees from 140 countries to the beach.
