Ghana police is the best in Africa — Rex Omar

Highlife legend Rex Omar has praised the Ghana Police Service.

He described them as the best in Africa, citing his experiences and interactions with law enforcement agencies.

During a meeting held at the Police headquarters on Tuesday between the police and members of the creative arts industry, Rex Omar expressed his admiration for the Ghana Police Service.

He stated, "I have traveled over Africa, but if I compare the Ghana police service to the rest of Africa, I will say that our police are the best. If I compare them to Africa, they are the best."

He highlighted the positive changes he has seen within the police service and its dedication to maintaining law and order.

While recognizing the improvements made by the police, Rex Omar urged them to continue their efforts in ensuring safety, especially in the upcoming 2024 elections.

At the same meeting, Bessa Simons, the newly elected president of the Musicians Union of Ghana, also noted the positive changes within the force.

Abeiku Santana, a popular broadcaster, applauded the current Inspector General of Police (IGP) for setting a high standard of leadership that would challenge his predecessors in the future.

The meeting served as a platform for dialogue and collaboration between the police and the creative arts industry, emphasizing the importance of a strong and effective law enforcement agency in ensuring the safety and security of the nation.
