Ghanaian television personality Kafui Dey sees the one-way style of the Ghanaian hip-hop genre as worrying and outmoded.

The Accra-based GTV broadcaster bemoaned the fact that local Ghanaian rappers only sing about money and women.

In a tweet, Kafui Dey asked if there will be a time when the rappers will be more sensitive in choosing their words or if they will always speak about their zeal for money and women.

"Listening to some Ghanaian rap on radio and all the songs are about making money: how much money they have, how they will make money by all means, how they have money more than other people, etc. Every verse has sika or money," his tweet read.

He asked if Ghanaians can tip a single artist who does songs without the constant feature of money and women's body parts.

“Recommend a Ghanaian hip life or rap musician whose music doesn’t have the constant theme of money or body parts of women. I want to see something,” he wrote in a similar tweet.
