The month of October will be memorable in the minds of some Africans for several reasons. First, they attended the Africa Music evening which was hosted by DJ Clarke Pentoa, a radio presenter, freelance journalist and award-winning master of ceremonies.

However, DJ Clark was not impressed with the poor turn-outs by Africans at the evet.

He told Informer East Africa that he noted that more Europeans and just some few Africans in the Diaspora attended the event, prompting him to ask Africans to appreciate their own events in Western capitals.

He shared that he connected the African Music Night as an event, by playing tracks from all African countries as patrons enjoyed art exhibited in the gallery.

The Africa Music Evening featured the works of African artists such as Slimen El Kamel (Tunisia), Vivien Kohler (South Africa), Christine Dixie (South Africa), Catherine Ocholla (Kenya/South Africa), Nú Barreto (Guinea Bissau), Georgina Maxim (Zimbabwe) and Soly Cissé (Senegal).

He used the occasion to urge Africans living in the Diaspora to make it a point to love and support anything and everything African.

Clarke currently hosts the Colourful breakfast show from Monday to Friday 7 am – 9 am. The event was hosted in a gallery at Surrey Row, Southwark, South East London.
