I Am Not Dating Falz – Simi

Nigerian songstress Simisola Bolatito Ogunleye, who goes by the mononym Simi, has denied having an intimate relationship with rapper Falz ‘The Bad Guy’.

The two were rumoured to be in a love affair which they have kept away from the media.

Simi, who visited Ghana on October 12, told JoyNews’ Becky that the rumor was false.

“Falz and I are just good friends. We are very close,” she disclosed.

The singer described Falz as a funny character who creates the right atmosphere for work.

“Falz is a funny guy. People see him and they laugh. He doesn’t have to say anything. I think that works in our favor when it comes to making music together,” she added.

Simi stated that, the rapper’s humorous personality works to their advantage in producing songs such as ‘Soldier’, which she says invoke smiles and laughter on the faces of listeners.

The two Nigerian musicians have recorded an E.P titled ‘Chemistry’.

Their ‘Soldier’ tune won the Best Collaboration award at The Headies in 2016.

She also won Best Female Artiste at the 2016 City People Entertainment Awards.
