First Lady Interacts With 2017 Exquisite Face Of Universe Pageants

Accra, Sept. 14, CDA Consult – Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo, First Lady of Ghana, has tasked contestants for 2017 Exquisite Face of Universe pageant to serve as promoters of the National Heritage and Culture.

The First Lady also urged the Face of Universe Pageants to take the opportunity to learn more about Ghana and its people whilst here and carry with them their positive experiences when they go back to their various countries.

“You must sell Ghana to your various countries to help attract investors to Ghana,” Mrs Akufo-Addo stated when about 35 Exquisite Face of Universe Pageant paid a courtesy call on her as part of activities for this year’s pageant.

The ladies will participate in the final of this year’s pageant being organized by the First Loyal Event Limited on September 16, at the National Theatre under the theme: “Eat Ghana, Feel Ghana, Wear Ghana, Love Ghana”.

Mrs Akufo-Addo also commended organizers for the goals for their pageant which seek to create advocacy roles for the queens to help promote and achieve sustainable development goals of the United Nations.

She further encouraged the queens to work hard and be positive role models for the coming generation as well as work to improve the lives of women and children.

Exquisite Face of the Universe is an innovative world pageant that brings beauty queens between the ages of 18 and 27 years with strong passion for benevolence and development from around the world to compete for an ambassadorial crown.

The winner of the crown becomes the global ambassador who promotes the Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs) with main attention on 4 out of the 17 Goals.
