His name is Pastor Peter Kayode and to him music is his passion, it is his life and thus, it isn't hard to explain how he turns his preaching into a song-filled time with his audience worldwide.
We have had the opportunity to follow him up on several occasion on his television program he calls Awakeners Telecast, which airs on Top TV every Saturday by 7:00am and most importantly one thing never changes-his way of expressing his feelings while preaching.
The entertainment that follows the deep songs and lyrics he churns while preaching has drawn our attention. Following the footsteps of great gospel entertainers who have used music to win souls into the kingdom, then the 'singing preacher' as fondly called has every course to adhere to his style.
We asked the 'singing preacher', what makes him use music as part of his preaching, he responded, “music makes us think about God and his beautiful creation, the world, memories, people you like, etc. so it is important we communicate with the people the essence of our creator. God loves music. Music is a mood stabilizer and with that so many members come to church with one mood or the other and as a man of God, it is best for me to use a medium that will draw their attention to God, so I use music”
We heard and saw him in action, since music is entertainment and preacher uses it effectively in communicating with his members, we thought it great to give you the gist first hand.
The 'singing preacher' is the General Overseer at Awakeners Chapel International, Ablekuma, Accra, Ghana.
