I Will Never Work With C.K Akonnor Again – Odartey Lamptey

Former Ghana international Odartey Lamptey has expressed his bitterness about his marital scandal.

Expressing his view on his ex-wife’s infidelity, the ex-player revealed that irrespective of the pain he has moved on.

Speaking on Kumasi based Angel FM, he revealed that he has now started a new chapter in his life.

“I’m sad to talk to about this issue but I thank GOD for giving me that courage to stand for whatever I have gone through to be able to come out and am moving on. Now I can boast and say these are my kids, I have a family and good wife.

“I have moved on personally. Everybody knows what happened and it happens in life. I have upgraded myself. I have a new family now and three kids and enjoying life now”.

The former Anderlecht and Aston Villa star sadly conceded that he is no longer in good terms with his good friend and one of the alleged partners of his ex-wife, C.K Akanor.

On whether he will consider working with C.K as an assistant coach of the Black Stars, Odartey replied in the negative.

He, however, called on Ghanaians to back C.K Akanor by supporting him to succeed with Black Stars.

“In football, you can’t say never but since 11 Wise, I don’t remember the last time I spoke to CK. The fact is that I don’t remember the last time I spoke to CK. We are not like we used to be. I don’t think I will have that passion and urged I had before to work with Akonnor. I don’t think I can do it. But we all have to support him and back him to succeed as a coach”.
