Former head coach for King Faisal, Mallam Yahaya has stressed that he will lead Asante Kotoko to glory in any of CAF’s inter-club competitions if he is given the coaching job.

The gaffer’s comments come on the back of the Porcupine Warriors’ elimination from the CAF Champions League when they squandered a 2-0 advantage from the first leg.

A disappointing 3-0 defeat to Tunisian side Etoile du Sahel in the second leg of the final playoff round sent Kotoko into the last qualifying round to the group stage of the Confederations Cup.

Sharing his thoughts on the performance of Kotoko coach Kjetil Zachariassen, Mallam Yahaya has emphatically stated that he is better than the Norwegian tactician and will do a better job if he was in charge.

“Zachariassen has his philosophy in coaching and I also have mine but I can say it on authority that I’m better than him”, he said.

Coach Mallam Yahaya is also confident he can lead the Kumasi-based side to glory on the continent of he is given the opportunity to manage the team.

“With all the quality players at Kotoko, I can win the Champions League or the Confederation Cup for Kotoko if the team is given to me”.

“I can lead Kotoko to the promise land so the management of Kotoko should believe in me and give me the coaching role”.

“I have the experience to coach Kotoko and I’m ever ready to handle any big team in Ghana.
