The Burkinabe forward who last featured for CK Akonnor’s side against Al-Hilal at home in the 2018/19 Caf Confederation Cup told Kotoko Express:

“I am happy to be back though I still feel pain in my ankle.

“But, I will continue to work hard and see if I can return to full fitness soon.”

Yacouba's future at the club has been a subject of intense speculations throughout his absence especially after expressing his desire for greener pastures in the summer.

South African giants Orlando Pirates and ZESCO United of Zambia have officially approached Asante Kotoko about Yacouba’s availability with other interests said to be expressed by some Egyptian clubs.
