CAF AWARDS: Desiree Ellis Wins Women’s Coach Of The Year

South Africa’s Women’s National team coach Desiree Ellis has been given the award as the best Women’s Coach of the year at the just ended Aiteo CAF Awards 2018.

The award ceremony was held at the Abdou Diouf International Conference Center in Senegal today to honor and celebrate top performing footballers and managers who have had a part to play in football as far as the African Continent is concerned.

The Banyana Banyana head coach last year was impressive with her team. She guided her team to Regional COSAF glory when they beat their Cameroonian counterpart by two goals to one in the final.

Additionally, Coach Desiree Ellis led the Banyana Banyana to the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations held in Ghana where their outstanding performance took them all the way to the final of the competition. Sadly they lost out to favorites Nigeria on penalties whiles booking their place in this year Women’s World Cup.

Looking back to the year 2018 in review, she has deservedly been voted for as the Best Women’s Coach of the year.
