Accra, Oct. 6, GNA - The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has expressed appreciation to Demarley Limited for supporting the national under-21 team, the Black Satellites in its preparation towards the West Africa Football Union (WAFU) soccer tournament held in Ghana. The company has prior to the tournament donated quantities of Virgin Fruit Juice and Sports Kits to the team.

Mr Emmanuel Gyimah, Deputy General Secretary of the GFA said a statement that the gesture gave the team the needed impetus to emerge champions in the four-nation soccer tournament played at the Ohene Djan Sports stadium in Accra between September 17-19. "On behalf of the management of the national under-20 team, we wish to thank you most sincerely and it is our hope that the new marriage with the company will grow". The statement appealed to the company to continue to donate to the success of the Satellites to motivate them to achieve more laurels in Nigeria.

The Satellites are scheduled to participate in the final phase of the competition in Nigeria on October 22-27 for emerging champions of the Zone. Ghana will be competing alongside Nigeria, Cote d'Ivoire and The Gambia. The event is in commemoration with the 30th Anniversary celebration of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
