The Association of Ghanaians resident in Cape Verde have declared it is now their turn to serve their country, as Ghana plays its last and most crucial World Cup Qualifier in Praia against Cape Verde.

In an exclusive interview on Space Fm, the Chairman of the Association, Mr. Tony Parker Danso stressed that his team of Patriotic Ghanaians, numbering over two hundred are ready to do everything to ensure that Ghana wins in Cape Verde, and that their stay in Praia would also be memorable.

He stated that the last time Ghana played in Cape Verde in 2001, we lost by 0-1, even though most of the players were mostly Under 21, who at that time were preparing for the World Youth Tournament in Argentina. We certainly don't want to lose again, our desire is collect the three (3) maximum points, he declared.

Mr. Parker Danso, a native of Obuasi has lived in Cape Verde for 15years and works for a Danish NGO BORNEfonden, as the Sponsorship Manager. In view of the importance of the big match, Mr.Danso, and many of his colleagues will take a vacation from 1st October through 15th October in order to prepare for the encounter.

He later cautioned that the National Stadium is small and has a capacity of less than ten thousand spectators, and urged Ghanaian soccer fans travelling for the match to try and get their tickets in advance. He asked them not to forget to bring along Drums-Shirts and Flags

Mr.Danso later thanked Mr. Ransford Antwi of Space Fm and the Ghana Ambassador to Senegal, who has oversight responsibility of Cape Verde, for their tremendous support so far.The former has managed to link the Association with the leadership of the National Supporters Union of Ghana
