After several people lost their lives due to a decision which was taken by the centreman in a clash between Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports, Referee Jacob Wilson Say who officiated the match says he has no remorse over his decision to allow Ismael Addo’s goal for Hearts of Oak to stand.

Supporters of both clubs lost their lives due to a stampede at the stadium following a backlash with the police.

Fans of Kotoko were unhappy with officiating after claiming Ismael Addo’s winning goal should have been flagged offside as a result of throwing objects to the field.

Police attempted to stop the violent action from the fans fired in tie gas which ultimately caused a stampede resulting in many losing their lives.

As yesterday marked exactly 17 years of the tragic incident in the country, the retired referee who is now a vice principal at the Queensland International School in an interview with Accra based TV3 says he has no regret about his decision to allow the goal stand but expressed grieve over the death of the hundreds who lost their lives.
