Daniel Nii Adjei Happy For SWAG Footballer of the Year Nomination

Former Asante Kotoko star midfielder, Daniel Nii Adjei has expressed his joy for being nominated for the SWAG Footballer of the Year 2017.

The player who moved from TP Mazembe of DR Congo to Wydad Athletic Club Casablanca in Morocco this year after a successful experience with the Congo club said if he plays in Africa and he is contesting Europe based players, then he should be content and confident of winning.

He is contesting Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Teye Partey, Christian Atsu of Newcastle United and Jiangsu Suning in China striker Richmond Boakye Yiadom for the event that comes off on Friday, May 4 at the Accra International Conference Center.

Nii Adjei scored some great goals for TP Mazenbe and Wydad Athletic Club Casablanca.

Born on1989 in Kumasi, Ghana, to Ga parents, the 28-year-old footballer who now stands at 1.75m as an attacking midfielder is managed by DS GLOBAL SPORT.

He started his football career with Asante Kotoko U19 and was promoted to the senior team in 2013. He has been an unsung fine player, with eyes for goals. He is a member of the Ghanaian stars who made name for TB Mazembe and helped them to conquer Africa. He is a CAF Super Cup winner.

He has had a few call-ups from the Black Stars, but yet to get the opportunity to feature in a tournament.

Adjei told Yours Truly, he is ready to play for the Black Stars and believes Ghana Football has massive future because there are many players who are doing well and deserve a chance to play for the national team.
