Bibiani (W/R), Aug 6, GNA - The Pride of Sefwi, Bibiani Gold Stars, a First Division football club in the Western Region, has appealed for sponsorship to enable them qualify to the Premier Division.
Mr Nsiah Antwi-Boakye, Chairman of the Club who made the appeal at Bibiani said the Club is scheduled to take part in the Middle League towards its qualification to the Premier League and would therefore need sponsorship to be able to prepare adequately to achieve its objective.
He said even though AngloGold Ashanti, Bibiani was supporting the Club, there were still the need for further assistance for the Club to boost the moral of the players, which he said was now at a very low ebb. According to Mr Antwi-Boakye, the low financial situation of the Club has been a source of worry to the management and the playing body who were desirous to qualify to the Premier Division to bring honour and glory to the Sefwi area.
Mr Antwi-Boakye therefore called on organisations, individuals, corporate bodies and citizens of the Sefwi area to rally solidly behind the team to enable it qualify to the Premier division.
