Former Black Stars winger, Laryea Kingston has recounted the good old days during his stint with the team revealing they used to go to night club with the Ghana Football Association president.

Kingston who played a major role in the country’s first ever World Cup appearance in Germany further disclosed that management members such as Kwesi Nyantakyi, Fred Papoe, Owoahene Acheampong, Randy Abbey and others took them as age mates and had fun all together after match days.

However, the former Hearts of Oak player indicated that the relationship that existed between the players and the management members of the Football Association brought about unity and gave them needed results.

“During our time with the Black Stars, the management did very well.” Laryea told GHOne TV. “People like Nyantakyi, Papsay, Randy Abbey and Owoahene Acheampong made us felt like family.

“For instance after games the management will call us and as ask “chale” where are you taking us to? We take them to clubs to have fun.” He added.

After helping the country to book it ticket for the 2006 and the 2010 FIFA World Cup, Kingston couldn’t get the opportunity to exhibit his impressive performance at the world stage.
