MTN Ghana holds Family Fun Games for staff

Accra, Aug. 14, GNA - MTN Ghana with support from Nestle Ghana, over the weekend held its annual Family Fun Day Games for families of Staff and customers at the Ghana Armed Forces Sports Complex, Burma Camp, Accra.

The sporting event included armwrestling, football, tennis, lime and spoon, swimming, basketball, volleyball, foot volley, sack race, a 60 Metre dash race, as well as a dancing competition for children.

There was also a cooking competition, which was won by the Finance and Services department of MTN.

In the football match involving supporters of Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester Utd, the Chelsea supporters grabbed the trophy at stake and the bags of rice and cooking oil for their victory their Real Madrid counterparts.

Amma Benneh Amponsah, the Human Resource Executive (MTN) said the concept behind the Fun Games was to motivate its staff and to create unity among staff.

She said their families and customers are the biggest partners so MTN decided set up special days to celebrate and inspire them to give off their best.

'MTN believes in wellness and fitness of its staff, families and customers and it is important that they have to come out of the offices to exercise and socialise.'

According to her, the Family Fun Day was also to reward some staff members, who had been outstanding in their work.
