The Ghana Cycling Federation (GCF) has endorsed President Mohammed Sahnoon for the position of secretary General at the upcoming general elections of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC).

Sahnoon has been the president of the GCF since he was elected into office unopposed in 2010 and his hard work aimed at developing the sport recently gained him recognition at the international level as the first and only Ghanaian elected onto the International Cycling Union (UCI) arbitral board and disciplinary commission.

An exceptional personality, Sahnoon, has the prime motive of revitalising Ghana sports under the GOC and was a key member of the team that guided the effective run of the GOC constitution which has finally yielded a transparent election process.

The General Secretary post is currently occupied by Richard Akpokavie who was at the last General Assembly meeting elections. Sahnoon was re-appointed the head of legal commission at the confederation of African cycling just last week in Egypt.

Meanwhile, the Ghana Kick Boxing Association has also endorsed Nii Adotey Dzata 1 aka Joseph Adotey Mingle to go for the position of Deputy Secretary General at the GOC Elections.

The Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) elections will take place on Saturday, 26th November, 2016 and interested candidates can pick up nomination forms at no cost and have between February 21 – March 7, 2017 to submit completed forms not later than 5pm.
