Port-Gentil, Gabon, Jan. 17, GNA - Goalkeeper Razak Braimah, will remain the number one choice for Black Stars, when they take on the Cranes of Uganda in the first Group D game of the AFCON 2017, at the Port-Gentil Sports Stadium on Tuesday evening.

Braimah's choice comes amidst protests and criticisms over his performance in recent times, coupled with the fact that he plays in a lower division in Spain.

There were reports that, he might lose his position in the competition, but information gathered by the GNA Sports indicates that, Braimah will remain the number one choice this afternoon.

According to the information, the goalie who has since 2015, remained the number one choice for Ghana was chosen ahead of returnee Fatao Dauda and Wa All Stars, Richard Ofori.

Ghana will seek to commence the campaign to end their AFCON trophy draught on Tuesday afternoon against the Ugandans, who have also qualified for the competition after 39 years of absence.
